How to make video games...

Do you think you can..

Dig??

Well, here are some interesting facts

Surprisingly , constructing video games are almost like making a movie.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE

Well, simply enough, it takes as many people to make a video game almost as it does to make a movie. These people have all of the simple, basic equipment as the real movie makers do from video cameras, graphic computers, etc.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE THIS AWESOMELY COOL STUFF

Really, they take as long as they have to to make the game satisfactory for them and the people who are going to play. If you're a Satistical maniac, on average, at least a month to plan a game. It takes them almost a year or more to actually put the hardware, computer chips and every thing else together.

WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE

Here are some simple steps:
  1. Get the idea for the game
  2. Design what's going to take place in the game. Fighting , Climbing trees , etc..
  3. IMPORTANT!! No game is complete without characters. You have to draw how they will look and junk.
  4. Story board.. (The game has to have some kind of plot or theme. If it doesn't

    THEN

    IT'S

    SORRY!!

  5. Write a script
  6. Make the animation.. (It's the KEY!! )
  7. Put together all of the drawings, animation and action
  8. Write some mind blowing music
  9. Add music and sound to the game (Like this.. Listen NOW!!) CLIC THE SPEAKS!!
  10. Test it for bugs and stuff
  11. Eliminate the bugs.. (SORRY U CAN'T JUST CALL TERMINEX!!)
  12. Manufacture and finally, SELL THE GAME!!

WHO DOES THIS AMAZING STUFF

THE PRODUCER
is in charge of everything. If you want to know what the deal is with the game U must see this guy... (or gal)

THE DESIGNERS
job is to construct exactly what will happen in the game. If a fight breaks out, a house blows up, or an old man robs a liquor store, their job is to write the script 4 that.

THE DIRECTOR
job is to make sure everthing is organized. The game parts, and how everyone works together to do it.

THE ARTISTS
You can take a BIG guess on this one.. If you don't know this, I should sic my pet cat on you... Anyway, if you still didn't get it, they draw all the characters and scenery. They might take photographs, mold from clay, build from legos or SOMETHING!!

THE ANIMATORS
They simply make the characters, move.. (GET DOWN AND BOOGIE!!)

COMPUTER PROGRAMMERS
Their job is really important. They have to put the animation, and the story together to make the game. They write in a special communications language called "C".

COMPOSERS
simply write the music for the game. All of the interludes, music for the credits tec. Maybe if he was still around you could call on Mozart..

SOUND PROGRAMMERS
by using drums, a keyboard, sticks, or a real live band, their job is to make all of the sounds and music for the game. They record the music and connect the sounds and music to actions in the game.

THE TESTERS
now this is a job a wish I had 4 Real!! . These people have the easiest jobs in the world. All they do is play the newly constructed game for weeks and weeks over and over and over to find any problems in the game. If characters shoots fire from his mouth and its suppose to be just words, there may be something wrong

There has to be a lot of time and energy put into making video games, but the results are usually worth it. A person can let their imagination roam as they explore new worlds and things. At the same time they are entertained.
